Academic Affairs

A message from Mr. Walt Holliday,  

It is our mission as the Academic Affairs Team to assist student-athletes in completing their undergraduate and graduate degrees in a timely manner while developing the life skills necessary for their future endeavors. In an effort to achieve that goal, student-athletes are assigned an advisor within the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes (CCACSA) whose purpose is to assist in major selection, course scheduling, and academic support. CCACSA advisors, in conjunction with faculty, college advisors and coaches will track student-athletes' academic progress to ensure they are on track for graduation, in compliance with LSU’s progress toward degree guidelines and also in compliance with the NCAA’s continuing eligibility rules. It is our hope that LSU student-athletes maintain the proper balance between being a student and being an athlete and that their experience is one to remember.
