Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

The SAAC serves as the governing body for the LSU student-athletes. The committee is comprised of representatives from all sports and meets once or twice a month throughout the school year. The role of each member is to represent his or her team in terms of communicating information to the administration staff and coaches as well assisting with planning of events and communicating those events with their teammates.
Mission Statement
The Louisiana State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) serves as a medium of communication through which student-athletes, conference administrators, institutional representatives, and coaches discuss and take action on issues relating to rules governance, student-athlete welfare, and community service. The mission of SAAC is to assist in the creation of an environment where all student-athletes have the opportunity to maximize their academic, athletic, personal, and social growth and improve their post-college quality of life.
Message from SAAC President:
Hey y'all! My name is Madie Jones and I'm the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee here at LSU. I'm a junior on the volleyball team from Plano, Texas and I'm so excited to get to be a part of such a great organization like SAAC. Something extremely important to the student-athletes here at LSU is community service involvement. We know how beneficial it is to give back to the community that has given us so much! It's awesome to see fellow student-athletes getting out there and making a difference in the world around us and I hope to motivate myself and others to be an active member of the community! LSU has some of the most well-rounded athletes in the country and I can't wait to see what kinds of things we can accomplish together this year. Best of luck to all the student-athletes in their endeavors on and off the field!
