Kydani Dover joined the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes as a Learning Specialist in July 2010. Dover works within the Student Learning Program in collaboration with academic counselors, coaches, athletic staff and the Office of Disability Services and Psychological Services Center to assess student-athlete needs and facilitate their academic growth. She designs and implements individualized academic support plans to assist students in reaching their academic potential. She also assists in the coordination of tutor training as well as the Center’s Career and Professional Development program.
During the 2009-2010 academic year, Dover served as a Learning Assistant for UCLA’s freshmen football players. Prior to her time at UCLA, she was the Program Officer for the National Football Foundation’s Play It Smart Program between 2007-2009.
Dover graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies in 2005 and completed her master’s degree in sport management and sociology in 2007.
